The FISSAC Project is an international project, co-founded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 research andinnovation programme (GA N°642154), that aims to develop and demonstrate a new paradigm built on an innovative industrial symbiosis model towards a zero waste approach in the resource intensive industries of the construction value chain.

The FISSAC project involves stakeholders at all levels of the construction and demolition value chain to develop a methodology and software platform, to facilitate information exchange that can support industrial symbiosis networks and replicate pilot schemes at local and regional levels.

The project runs from September 2015 until February 2020.
The consortium consists in 26 partners from 9 countries (8EU Members States + Turkey)

Why a platform?

FISSAC Industrial Symbiosis Management Software Tool (FISSAC ICT Platform) is able to support decision making in material flow analyses and industrial clustering. The fundamental aim of the ICT Platform developed under FISSAC project is to demonstrate and maximize environmental, social and financial benefits of IS networks to support circular economy structure. Furthermore, the FISSAC ICT Platform should facilitate formation and operation of IS networks by following the FISSAC IS Methodology.
